PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

SIA “Autoskola GoDrive” (Reg. No. 50003105341) is responsible for the security of your data. We process your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the legislation of the Republic of Latvia. All employees and service providers who have access to your data are formally bound by confidentiality obligations.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contractual Obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): To register students, provide driving lessons, and fulfill our agreement with you.
  • Legal Obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)): To comply with the regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) and accounting laws.
  • Legitimate Interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): To ensure security, prevent fraud, and protect our legal rights.

DATA WE COLLECT

To ensure successful cooperation and compliance with CSDD requirements, we collect: name, surname, personal identification number (ID code), ID card or passport number, address of residence, telephone number, e-mail address, and payment details. We also record the status of your medical certificate (valid/invalid) as required for driving training.

ACCESS AND RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA

Access to your personal data is limited to authorized employees (Administrator, Accountant, Management) who need it to perform their duties. To provide our services, we transfer data to authorized partners:

  • State Authorities: Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) for registration and exam processing.
  • Service Providers: Online training platform eDrive (SIA “NSNC”) and first aid course providers (SIA “PPA”).
  • IT Infrastructure: Microsoft 365 (Forms, OneDrive, Excel) for secure data storage within the EU.
    We do not sell your data or share it with unauthorized third parties.

DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated:

  • Applications/Registration forms: Up to 6 months.
  • Operational training data: Up to 30 days after the completion of training/graduation.
  • Archive: Up to 5 years (in the minimum necessary scope for legal protection).
  • Accounting: Financial documents are stored for the period required by Latvian law (usually 5-10 years).

DATA SECURITY

Your data is protected by modern technical and organizational means, including encrypted storage and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Data is stored exclusively within the borders of the European Union.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  1. Access your personal data and receive a copy.
  2. Request rectification of inaccurate data.
  3. Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”), unless we are legally obligated to keep it.
  4. Object to or restrict processing.
  5. Lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (DVI), Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050.
